Florida State University Credit Union held it's Annual Meeting on April 19, 2007. Over 70 credit union members attended the meeting and participated in the election process for the Board of Directors. Votes were tallied that evening and the winners, William Agner and Mark Striffler, were announced. Mr. Agner and Mr. Striffler will serve one (3) three year term each on the Board.
Credit unions are the only democratically controlled financial institutions
in the United States. Members elect a volunteer board of directors to oversee
the credit union. The manager or president/chief executive officer reports to
this board. The Board are unpaid volunteers who represent the best interest of
the membership. The board of directors at FSU Credit Union is made up of
qualified, volunteer credit union members.
